Equivalent Enrollment in Teacher Education and College Graduation Success
All potential teachers attempt basic skills tests at a rate of 15%, and attend TEPs, complete the TEP, and receive their degree at a combined rate of 89%. This policy has the largest reduction in the diversity gap for Black students and teachers, and a sizable reduction in the gap for Hispanic students and teachers. This also causes a negative gap for Asian students and teachers (from 3% to -2%).
